Mock Draft #4-The Anticipation

What a great NCAA tournament. Now complete focus shifts to the draft. It is unreal that the draft is this month and the new season is upon us. Baseball is back and spring is in the air. Love it. The Bills made some impressive changes in free agency which shifts their thinking in the draft and mine as well. So here is my 4th mock draft with one still to come.

.) Indianapolis Colts: Andrew Luck QB/Stanford  Despite the speculation that the Colts would be interested in RGIII, I'm not buying it. Luck will be the 1st pick.

.) Washington Redskins: Robert Griffin III QB/Baylor  Ditto.

**Trade** The Minnesota Vikings trade the 3rd overall pick to the Miami Dolphins for the 8th overall pick and a 2nd round pick this year. Miami also trade 1st round picks in 2013 and 2014 and a 3rd round pick in 2013.
.) Miami Dolphins: Ryan Tannehill QB/Texas A&M  Call me crazy but Tannehill has a rising stock unlike any player I've seen before. Don't be surprised if this happens.

Justin Blackmon

.) Cleveland Browns: Trent Richardson RB/Alabama  Could go WR here but theres good depth later in the draft. Need a stud RB.

.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Matt Kalil OT/USC  If Kalil falls to this spot, I think the Bucs have to take him. They need help in the trenches and need to keep Josh Freeman upright and healthy.

.) St. Louis Rams: Justin Blackmon WR/Oklahoma St.  There is growing speculation that Michael Floyd will be the 1st WR taken but not according to me. Blackmon has playmaker written all over him.

.) Jacksonville Jaguars: Morris Claiborne CB/LSU  The Jags need help in their secondary and Claiborne is the best player at this position.

.) Minnesota Vikings (from MIA): Riley Reiff OT/Iowa  The Vikings move down in the draft but pick up a solid player. I'm still not 100% sold he will be a LT in the NFL.

.) Carolina Panthers: Fletcher Cox DT/Mississippi St.  The Panthers need more beef on the d-line. Could not stop the run last season.

**Trade** The Buffalo Bills trade the 10th overall pick to the Philadelphia Eagles in exchange for the 15th overall pick and a 2nd this season. The Eagles also trade 1st round picks in 2013 and 2014.
.) Philadelphia Eagles: Courtney Upshaw OLB/Alabama  The Eagles were terrible at the LB spot last season and Upshaw is possibly the only NFL ready player to be a true OLB. The take the chance and move up.

.) Kansas City Chiefs: Quinton Coples DE/North Carolina  At this spot, the Chiefs go with the best player available at a need position. Coples has the ability to be a great DE if he can work on his motivation.

.) Seattle Seahawks: Melvin Ingram OLB/DE/South Carolina  Very versatile player can fill any hole the Seahawks may have. Solid player.

Stephon Gilmore

.) Arizona Cardinals: David DeCastro OG/Stanford  Possibly the best interior lineman in this draft, DeCastro will help stabilize the Cards' o-line.

.) Dallas Cowboys: Stephon Gilmore CB/South Carolina  The best player that nobody talks about. He doesn't have the best stats in the world, but this is a smart stay at home defender.

.) Buffalo Bills (from PHI): Cordy Glenn OT/Georgia  The Bills fill a need at LT and Glenn is considered by many the second best tackle in this draft. He has tremendous upside and the sky is the limit. This would be a great pick for Buffalo.

.) New York Jets: Mark Barron S/Alabama  A safety this high is a risk but the Jets did not have much help at this position last season. Barron is a big hitter that understands a pro-style defense.

.) Cincinnati Bengals (from OAK): Mike Adams OT/Ohio St.  This player is a riser. He went from a sure 2nd rounder to being thrown into the top 10 in some mocks. Could be a steal.

.) San Diego Chargers: Chandler Jones DE/Syracuse  This is another riser. Jones had great individual workouts which has vaulted him into 1st round chatter.

Josh Robinson

.) Chicago Bears: Jonathan Martin OT/Stanford  The Bears would love to see this guy fall to their spot. At one point was a top 10 pick has slipped some. Still a great talent.

.) Tennessee Titans: Josh Robinson CB/UCF  Might be a reach but Robinson is another fast riser. Has all the skills necessary to be a shutdown corner in the NFL.

.) Cincinnati Bengals: Dre Kirkpatrick CB/Alabama  Kirkpatrick falls a bit because of his off the field issues and not so great indivdual workouts. Still a first round talent.

.) Cleveland Browns (from ATL): Michael Floyd WR/Notre Dame  Because of other position needs for other teams, the Browns get lucky by taking the former Irish WR. Quality pick.

.) Detroit Lions: Luke Kuechly LB/Boston College  The Lions defense continues to grow and get better. This would be an enormous upgrade and could make the Lions have the best defense in the NFL.

.) Pittsburgh Steelers: Amini Silatolu OG/Midwestern St.  Small school player that is as nasty as they come. Can play OT but for the start of his career an interior lineman.

.) Denver Broncos: Dontari Poe DT/Memphis  I may have gotten caught in the hype in my last mock. Poe is a good player but not a top 10 pick. This is a good spot for him.

.) Houston Texans: Andre Branch DE/Clemson  Need to replace Mario Williams and Branch has found himself in the 1st round mix.

.) New England Patriots (from NO): Whitney Mercilus DE/Illinois  The Patriots need to improve their pass rush. Mercilus maybe a one-hit wonder or a player ready to be dominant for the next 15 years.

.) Green Bay Packers: Jerel Worthy DT/Michigan St.  The Packers need another guy to put with BJ Raji to help the run D and pass rush.

.) Baltimore Ravens: Zach Brown OLB/North Carolina  The Ravens are one player away from being great. Adding a LB won't hurt them in their quest for a ring.

.) San Francisco 49ers: Kendall Wright WR/Baylor  May not need a WR anymore but thinking long term, Randy Moss is a 1 year deal and Manningham is a 2. Need a young talented reciever to learn and be the guy someday.

**Trade** The New England Patriots trade the 31st overall pick to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for the 43rd overall pick a 3rd and 5th round this year as well as a 1st and 2nd in 2013.

Harrison Smith

.) Seattle Seahawks: Alshon Jeffery WR/South Carolina  This pick may turn some heads but that is Pete Carroll's way of doing things. Jeffery impressed at his pro-day and has scouts suddenly very interested.

.) New York Giants: Harrison Smith S/Notre Dame  The Giants had only one weakness last season and that was at the safety spot. Too many injuries led to big plays for opposing offenses.

Round 2

.) St. Louis Rams: Bobby Massie OT/Ole Miss
.) Indianapolis Colts: David Wilson RB/Virginia Tech
.) Minnesota Vikings: Stephen Hill WR/Georgia Tech
.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Michael Brockers DT/LSU
.) Cleveland Browns: Kirk Cousins QB/Michigan St.
.) Jacksonville Jaguars: Nick Perry DE/USC
.) St. Louis Rams (fromWAS): Devon Still DT/Penn St.
.) Carolina Panthers: Janoris Jenkins CB/North Alabama

Rueben Randle
.) Buffalo Bills: Rueben Randle WR/LSU  The Bills need a reciever to stretch the field and put pressure on opposing defenses. Randle can fill that void. Needs to improve his health.
.) Minnesota Vikings (from MIA): Trumaine Johnson CB/Montana
.) New England Patriots (from SEA): Dont'a Hightower LB/Alabama
.) Kansas City Chiefs: Brandon Thompson DT/Clemson
.) Dallas Cowboys: Vinny Curry DE/Marshall
.) Philadelphia Eagles: Jayron Hosley CB/Virginia Tech
.) New York Jets: Dwayne Allen TE/Clemson
.) New England Patriots (fromOAK): Peter Konz C/Wisconsin
.) San Diego Chargers: Mitchell Schwartz OT/California
.) Chicago Bears: Mychal Kendricks LB/California
.) Buffalo Bills (from PHI via ARI): Dwight Bentley CB/Louisiana-Lafyette  Good player from a small school, something this team loves. Only question will be if he can match the physicality of NFL WRs.
.) Tennessee Titans: Kevin Zeitler OG/Wisconsin
.) Cincinnati Bengals: LaMichael James RB/Oregon
.) Detroit Lions: Bobby Wagner OLB/Utah St.
.) Atlanta Falcons: Kendall Reyes DT/UConn
.) Pittsburgh Steelers: Shea McClellin LB/Boise St.
.) Denver Broncos: Mohammad Sanu WR/Rutgers
.) Houston Texans: Alfonzo Dennard CB/Nebraska
.) New Orleans Saints: NO PICK
.) Green Bay Packers: Tyrone Crawford DE/Boise St.
.) Baltimore Ravens: Michael Brewster C/Ohio St.
.) San Francisco 49ers: Jamell Fleming CB/Oklahoma
.) New England Patriots: Chris Givens WR/Wake Forest
.) New York Giants: Doug Martin RB/Boise St.
Round 3

.) Indianapolis Colts: Coby Fleener TE/Stanford
.) St. Louis Rams: Lavonte David OLB/Nebraska
.) Minnesota Vikings: Brian Quick WR/Appalachain St.
.) Cleveland Browns: Orson Charles TE/Georgia
.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Alameda Ta'amu DT/Washington
.) Washington Redskins: Bruce Irvin OLB/West Virginia
.) Jacksonville Jaguars: Juron Criner WR/Arizona
.) Miami Dolphins: Greg Childs WR/Arkansas
.) Carolina Panthers: Zebrie Sanders OT/Florida St.

Billy Winn
.) Buffalo Bills: Billy Winn DE/Boise St.
.) Kansas City Chiefs: Kelechi Osemele OG/Iowa St.
.) New England Patriots (from SEA): George Iloka S/Boise St.
.) Philadelphia Eagles: Michael Egnew TE/Missouri
.) New York Jets: Cam Johnson DE/Virginia
.) San Diego Chargers:  Lamar Miller RB/MiamiFL
.) Miami Dolphins (fromCHI): Sean Spence OLB/MiamiFL

.) Dallas Cowboys: James-Michael Johnson LB/Nevada
.) Tennessee Titans: Chris Polk RB/Washington
.) Cincinnati Bengals: James Brown OG/Troy
.) Atlanta Falcons: Jared Crick DE/Nebraska
.) Detroit Lions: Ronnell Lewis OLB/Oklahoma
.) Pittsburgh Steelers: Jake Bequette DE/Arkansas
.) Denver Broncos: Brandon Boykin CB/Georgia
.) Houston Texans: Nick Toon WR/Wisconsin
.) New Orleans Saints: Mike Martin DT/Michigan
.) Green Bay Packers: Antonio Allen S/South Carolina

.) New England Patriots: Trevor Guyton DE/California
.) New York Giants: Rhett Ellison TE/USC
